Recently, a video, of which the North Korea leader became so upset about, became viral all over the social networking sites and video web sites. The video, cheekily named as “Fat Guy Number 3” which refers to the Kim’s family supposed portliness consists of video clips and GIFs mashed up into a three and half minute video teasing and poking fun of Kim Jong-un. His face is superimposed on all sorts of animated images where he is shown as dancing, doing splits, as a ballet dancer, dancing with his trousers down and with a sheepy smile, riding on the bag of a pig and many other surreal scenarios. Little Apple by the Chopstick Brothers, a recent hit love song was used as the soundtrack makes it even catchier and doesn’t help to suppress one’s laughter.

While Obama and Putin have yet to give statements regarding on the issue, the North Korean government has asked the Chinese government to take it down because it “seriously compromises Kim’s dignity and authority”. 
 
However, like a virus, it is nearly impossible to do so. The video was made by a Chinese man with the surname Zhang who studies abroad in South Korea and was posted on Weibo- China’s version of Twitter. The uploader posted the video saying that it was “just for entertainment” and has no deeper political message, but for others it seemed like the next from in East Asian cyberwarfare. Having 190,000 followers, the video was easily spread, and even though Youtube is banned in China, someone copied it from Tencenet, a Chinese video-sharing site and uploaded it there creating a million of audiences and comments all around the world. This ‘brilliant piece of mashup satire’, as one referred to it, even if deleting all videos of it in the internet doesn’t mean it will also be erased from the netizens’ memories. 
 
Despite the diplomatic back-and-forth request of North Korea to take the video down, Beijing was unable to oblige, according to ChosunIlbo. Their power reaches far but without a valid copyright infringement claim, North Korea’s grip on Youtube’s video submissions couldn’t be looser.

17 Year-old Boy Breaks Record Having 232 “Teeth” Extracted

AshikGaval, a boy from a village in India suffered from a rare medical condition and has had 232 teeth surgically removed with 28 still remaining in his mouth. 
 
The boy has been experiencing pain in his right jaw for 18 months before leaving his village and sought treatment in the city. He has been passed on to doctors to doctors but without success on identifying the cause of the problem. His father, Suresh Gavai said he was worried that it might turn out to be cancer so he brought him to the city of Mumbai.

With swollen gums and in pain, the 17-year old was admitted to JJ Hospital in Mumbai, India. 
 
Doctors in India have extracted 232 teeth from the mouth of a 17-year-old boy in a seven-hour operation. 
 
"Ashik's malaise was diagnosed as a complex composite odontoma where a single gum forms lots of teeth. It's a sort of benign tumour," Dr.SunandraDhiware, head of the hospital’s dental department said. 
 
The surgery was conducted on Monday, with a team two surgeons and two assistants trying to treat the boy’s jaw. It was led by Dr. VandanaThorawade who is the head of the hospital’s ENT (ear, nose and throat). At first, they had trouble trying to cut it out so they resorted to using the basic chisel and a hammer to take it out.

She described Ashik’s case as “very rare” and “a world record.” Complex composite odontoma is known to affect the upper jaw and a maxium of 37 teeth have extracted from the tumor in the past, according to medical literature available on the condition. Yet the boy’s case differs: his was found deep in the lower jaw and inside was hundreds of teeth. 
 
Dr. Dhiware has not seen anything similar as Ashik’s case in her 30-year career but she was “thrilled to get such an exciting case”. 
 
It was indeed an unusual case which brought people curious and bewildered even. As for the family, the operation ended with a smile.

Should Pacquiao lose, it would create a great implosion on his career so why would they risk it? The question, ‘Why not?’ also drags between. 
 
Chris Algieri on the other hand also gave his sentiments on boxing. Unlike most boxers like Pacquiao who had to be a boxer to escape the old [poor] living conditions, he says he plays because he wants to.

As for the financial gain, it is reported that it might not do a massive number on pay-per-view. However, Bob Arum, a promoter said that he is not worried on the matter because the fee the Venetian pays to land Manny Pacquiao will more than cover the shortfall in pay-per-view revenue.

This July 21, Monday has been a celebration-worthy and historic date for the Philippines especially to those who are members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC). Just in time for their 100th founding anniversary for this year, 2014, they open their own humongous coliseum—the Philippine Arena. It is one of their biggest highlights of the church’ centennial celebration on 27th of July. 
 
What pushes this project to several headlines not just in the country but all over the world even before it is done have surprised many people. Some of these humongous facts can be read below:

A) Size 
Philippine Arena is the largest indoor dome ever made, not just in the Philippines but internationally. 
 
The said arena can sit 50,364 people all at once, with 60,000 people that can be accommodated inside maximum! Doesn’t sound good enough for you? In comparison, the Philippine Arena is more than half the size of Mall of Asia Arena and Smart Coliseum. Normally, a coliseum would have 25,000 seats maximum. 
 
It is also twice as big as the largest arenas in U.S. and Europe namely Madison Square Garden (New York), Staples Center (Los Angeles) and 02 Arena (London) with seating capacity of 20,000; 21,000; 20,000 respectively. 
 
Second to it in terms of the number of seats is the Gwangmyeong Velodrome located in South Korea which has 30,000 seat capacity. 
 
Even Populous Andrew James called it “ambitious” and “unusual” because no one has ever done a half bowl design with such enormous capacity. 
 
“The building’s capacity pushes the boundary of Arena design and will eventually establish itself as the world’s largest indoor arena. The form uses simple geometry to create an elegant appearance, while also giving the venue a powerful presence within its setting,” he said. 
 
B) Construction 
Built on 99,200 square meters of land at Ciudad de Victoria, a tourism enterprise zone in Bocaue and Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines; world-class Hanwa Construction of South Korea leads the construction of this multi-purpose megastructure. On a short history of the firm, they are best recognized for its construction of Ansan Sports Complex (Ansan, Korea), Suwon Complex (Suwon, Korea), Haeundae Hanwha Resort (Busan, Korea), IT Complex (Seoul, Korea) and KINTEX 2nd Exhibition Center (Goyang, Korea). 
 
This 36,000 square meter dome has a roof which spans 160 meters and contains a staggering 9,000 tons of steel work (which was built as a separate unit to reduce the burden on the arena). Its height reaches to 62 meters or just about fifteen stories high. 
 
The entire edifice costs 200 million U.S. dollars or roughly equivalent to 7.8 billion php and broke ground on 17th of August 2011 and was completed by 30th of May, 2014. 
 
Last year, Discovery Channel documented the construction of the dome highlighting its resistance against earthquakes or any seismic forces in the country. On the documentary, it was said that the Philippine Arena was “built with strength and flexibility”. The crowd mobility was also noted, making sure that there are enough exits and that the spectators inside can escape within 4 to 6 minutes during disasters and emergency situations. 
 
C. Design 
The humongous masterpiece owes its design to Populous, a global mega-architecture firm in Brisbane Australia. They made sure that the arena will enable at least 50,000 people to gather inside the building and 50,000 more to meet at a ‘live site’ or a plaza outside for major events. The initial design concept roots down to the Narra tree, the national tree of the Philippines and inspired by the root of the Banyan tree. Moreover, the roof was conceptualized to a Nipa hut. 
 
It is a one-sided bowl with the lower bowl as the most frequently used part of the building. Its design allows separation of the lower bowl from the upper tier using acoustic and thermal properties. Another difference from the standard arena is the layout of the seats which resembles a Greek amphitheater, a semi-circle with seats at the sides and front of the stage. It is also divided by three sections into which colored by green, white and red—the colors of the Iglesia ni Cristo flag. 
 
Despite the continuing criticisms to the INC church, it never stopped them from growing and building more and more churches. Iglesia ni Cristo Executive Minister Eduardo Manolo announced that non-members can use the arena with of course, the church’ right to prohibit activities deemed to be a violation to their beliefs remains. Who knows what more can they build in the future years? For this one though, hats off to them.

A drama has set in between the couple even before they have concluded their marriage after the bride’s ex-boyfriend sent photos of her to the groom. 
 
After a few hours of the marriage rites, the groom was allegedly given a bouquet of flowers passed by several people. Hidden in the bouquet were a memory stick and a note telling him to look at the contents of the device. Photos of her newly wed wife, bare naked and in intimate situations and positions forced the groom to demand a divorce.

A website, Sabq, reported that the groom decided on the spot that his hours-old marriage was over according to Muslim cleric Sheikh Ghazi Bin Abdul Aziz al-Shammari. 
 
The cleric Sheikh al-Shammari told Kuwaiti television news that the husband came to see him the next day of the incident. “He was under strong emotional trauma,” he said, “It was truly the shock of his life and he could not bear the scandal. 
 
Days before the marriage, the cleric indicated that the bride’s sometime lover tried to blackmail her into staying with him, giving a threat to reveal their relationship to everyone if she declined. She refused and told him to get lost. She informed her former lover that she is already engaged and that she wanted to start a new life, to become a mother and to raise a family. 
 
The erstwhile partner discovered the venue where her marriage will be held, bought the bouquet, obscured the memory stick with the pictures of her in it. He sent it to the hotel where the couple was celebrating with some other people. That was when the bouquet was passed to the groom resulting to the on-spot demand for divorce. 
 
Cleric Sheikh al-Shamarri, who is from Saudi Arabia suppressed any information regarding the couple, including their nationalities and where it happened. 
 
People commented on the incident that the groom was rather over reacting and should accept his wife and her history, no matter what it is. Other netizens also stated that what the wife said to him before the marriage would be the basis on who to put the blame on.

A total of 700,000 users of a famous social networking site Facebook, were outraged and spoke out on privacy invasion of a certain social experiment. The experiment gives the unknowing users positive or negative posts in their newsfeeds and observes if they follow the same mood change and pattern. The Facebook data scientists wanted to see if these emotional states are actually contagious and can be manipulated even over the internet. Trying to justify this mood study, Facebook finally apologizes.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg admitted that the experiment was a part of ongoing research companies to test different products and that the terms were “poorly communicated”, trying to lessen the users’ anger, according to the Wall Street Journal report. “And for that communication we apologize. We never meant to upset you,” Sandberg said while in a meeting in New Delhi with a group of small businesses. 
 
Although the study was considered carefully before it was conducted with the mass, Adam Kramer, one of the data scientists at Facebook wasted no time before actually letting the Facebook community know about the research, saying that it probably wasn’t worth the annoyance and anger of Facebook users in hindsight. According to him, the experiment in question was conducted in early 2012 and they have been working on improving their internal review practices. 
 
The apology did not, however, doesn’t actually seem to indicate that the Facebook staff and the data scientists will put a stop on this continuous experiments of its enormous user base. It has been made understood though, that most users would rather be included in the project with them knowing than have the terms hidden from then in the future. 
 
Facebook COO stated in an interview, “We take privacy and security at Facebook really seriously because that is something that allows people to share opinions and emotions.”

Dong Rubin, Chinese blogger was sentenced last Wednesday 6 years and a half for spreading online “rumours”. His blog was known for criticisms against the ruling Communist Party. 
 
The general manager of Dong’s Internet consulting company, HouPeng, was also sentenced to three years in jail and Dong and Hou were fined 350,000 yuan ($56,000) and 50,000 yuan respectively.

As many governments have taken action on censoring or restricting information on the Internet and social media; the Chinese indeed go to great lengths.

Iloilo City- Intimate 'scandalous' photos of a girl 'Lexli Joy' wearing a uniform of a public high school were posted in a pornographic website and later on became viral in social networking site such as Facebook. Although the principal of Iloilo National High School confirmed that the uniform used in the video was of the school, Dr. NordySiason declined the speculations that the girl was indeed a student of ILNS. They found no records of her and asked each teacher if they know the girl but to no avail. Their guesses were that it was just a scandalous group who got the uniformas props for schoolgirl fetish or the girl was either a graduate, a dropout or she transferred to other school.

One girl confessed that she has been one of which who was offered 500,000 php in exchange of posing in front of the camera without clothes. 
 
Information had reached the NBI that the culprit had managed to convince girls from different schools to pose for money. They are still verifying whether or not the syndicate is from Cebu with contacts in Iloilo. 
 
Tomagan, on the other hand, advised the young girls to be wary and consider God, morality and dignity; not just money before agreeing to these circumstances. “Minsankahitkaibiganpa, tingnanangmgabagay-bagay," (Sometimes even if it’s a friend, you still have to weigh things down.) he said. 
 
The principal is currently creating policies regarding the use of the school uniform after the scandals brought shame to the school.

Eugene Berniego, 19 was arrested after stabbing another man on July 6, 2014, Sunday morning. It was reported that the teenager attacked the man identified as Jack Perago, a hair stylist in the area inside his rented room in Dapdap, Barangay Rosary Heights-2.

Eugene Berniego confessed he has planned the revenge, but without the intention to kill Perago, the victim. 
 
According to a witness, the owner of the boarding house, the suspect went in to Perago’s room last Saturday night with two other friends. Perago and Berniego were left alone after the two friends went out the next Sunday morning to jog around the place. It was speculated that it was then Berniego did his deed. 
 
The victim was found lying on the floor with wounds on different parts of his body. He was rushed to the hospital with the help of the owner of the room he’s renting in. 
 
The suspect, Berniego, is currently detained in Cotabato City Police Precinct No. 1. Once Perago is well enough and decides to press charges against the suspect, Berniego will be charged with frustrated homicide. The family of the victim has not given any comments on the incident.

22 Month Old Toddler Left To Be Baked in a Hot SUV Car

Cooper, a 22-month-old child, was left by his father, Justin Ross Harris to die in his searing hot SUV. 
 
There were several injuries found on the toddler’s body including visible marks on his face and abrasions on the back of his head, according to Detective Phil Stoddard, which shows Cooper’s desperate attempt on trying to get free from the car seat which was set on the lowest level which means he was fastened as tightly as possible. The Cobb Country Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on the child and resolved to the cause of death as “consistent with hyperthermia and the investigative information suggests the manner of death is homicide.”

That day, it was reported that the temperature raised to 92 degrees Fahrenheit then dropped to 88, and by then Cooper was already pronounced dead. The prosecutors also revealed that Justin Harris spent the day sexting and exchanging nude photos with six women, with one of them as a minor. Cobb County Chief Magistrate Frank Cox said that there are two probably charges in the warrant regarding murder and child cruelty. Harris pleaded bail but was denied.

A defense witness named Leonard Madden came to aid to Harris’ defense saying that he saw him looking upset trying to do a CPR on his son exclaiming, “Oh my god, oh my god, my son is dead, oh my god.” 
 
It was also disclosed that Harris discussed to the family about the instructions collecting two life insurance policies of the boy’s life: one for $2,000 and another for $25,000 while in jail and that Harris’ wife was complaining about his overcharging credit cards and sporadic purchasing. No one knows for sure if someone actually attempted to collect it.

On July 17, 2014; Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, carrying 283 passengers and 15 crewmembers crashed down after being hit by a surface-to-air missile launched from an area controlled by Russian-backed separatists-- U.S. officials suspects. On Saturday, Malaysia Airlines released a flight manifest regarding the nationalities of the victims which includes 193 Dutch (including one dual Netherlands/U.S. citizen), 43 Malaysians (including 15 crewmembers and two infants), 27 Australians, 12 Indonesians (including one infant), 10 Britons (including one dual U.K./South Africa citizen), four Germans, four Belgians, three Filipinos, one Canadian and one New Zealander.

The Russian president stated, "We repeatedly called upon all conflicting sides to stop the bloodshed immediately and sit down at the negotiating table. I can say with confidence that if military operations were not resumed on June 28 in eastern Ukraine, this tragedy wouldn't have happened." 
 
Tears were shed, prayers were offered and words of anger, distress, sympathy and mourn rained upon the television, newspapers and internet. Bodies are still being searched in the huge debris while four rail cars deliver the remains of more than 200 bodies. The rebels spent three days recovering the bodies and placing them in refrigerated cars while the international teams were kept at bay. After such, the investigation was turned over to international forensic experts. 
 
The Netherlands has sent a Hercules transport plane, Tuesday, to the Ukrainian city of Kharvic to pick up the dead bodies of the victims. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Hague said,"It is our aim — and at the moment our expectation — that sometime tomorrow [Wednesday] the first plane carrying victims will leave for Eindhoven.”

Girl Falls and Dies after Taking a “Deadly” Selfie

A 14 year-old student of Rizal High School in Pasig City died after she allegedly took a selfie (an act of taking a picture of his/herself) with her classmates, felt dizzy then fell down the stairs. The incident happened 10:21 a.m., Monday, June 30 during class hours although the teacher hasn’t arrived yet by that time. It was said that she hit the back of her head, thus the brain injury, bruises and one of her ribs struck through her kidneys. The doctors announced that when she was brought to the hospital, she was already dead on arrival.

Arthuro De Leon, the girl’s uncle received a call from her adviser saying that her niece got dizzy and is already in the hospital. He thought that it was just a minor injury so he got complacent on the subject but when he arrived in the hospital, the doctors were already performing CPR on her and then told him that her niece is already dead when brought to the hospital. 
 
The father, Ruben, felt remorse about her daughter’s death. “I was shocked,” he said, “It felt like heaven and earth fell on me. It was hard as a parent to hear that something like that happened to his/her child. She was such a good and an obedient child.” 
 
The family urged Rizal High School to conduct an in-depth investigation on the matter. Also, they said that the school should give its attention to the emergency precautions and procedures. 
 
“In the school, they didn’t know the emergency procedures. Because if they knew, she’d still be alive until today,” De Leon said. “They could’ve alerted the hospital that it was an emergency.” 
 
The police said they will further probe into the case. 
 
Last Thursday, July 3, the girl’s corpse was brought to her clan’s hometown where she will also be buried.

The cage of the bear was surrounded with a metallic grid with an aperture size of 89 cm by 74 cm to allow approach on the animal. A while later, the bear attacked the girl and when the mother tried to pull her away, it was too late, the bear was already chewing on the hand. With the help of the center’s visitors, the girl was rushed to the hospital. The girl was rushed to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and spent several days in the hospital. She is now in stable condition.

During the interviews, a series of pin pointing developed. 
 
The mother said that, “A bear, when full, would never touch a child,” blaming the center for not feeding the bear. 
 
The father, on the other hand, blamed the village authorities of Melihovo for not providing enough kindergarten centers. If they were able to afford the kindergarten programs, according to him, his daughter would have been at school instead in her mother’s place of work. 
 
The recreation center, however blamed the mother, to who, they stated, should have been more attentive to her daughter and that if she would have been more responsible, the incident would have never happened. They also believe the girl was the one who put her hand on the bear’s mouth, trying to feed it. 
 
The investigators has launched a criminal case on this incident under the article ‘Providing of services not complying with safety requirements that led by inadvertency to grievous bodily harm’. If proven that the recreation center did not qualify for safety requirements, the owner of the center could spent 6 years in prison.

Last July 12, 2014, <a href="http://www.staragara.net/2014/07/3-year-old-girl-rises-from-coffin-on-her-own-funeral.html" target="_blank">a 3-year-old girl was supposed to be buried by 1:00 pm, until the girl suddenly ‘woke up’ and gained consciousness.</a> Much to the surprise and joy to the family, the parents quickly picked her up, covering her with a blanket. People who were present in the funeral took pictures, amazed in the ‘miracle’. With two men holding two big crosses, everyone proceeded outside, leaving the coffin behind and empty.

It was already 24 hours since the child was declared dead. As were the customs in their area, Saturday, July 12, the family along with relatives and neighbors went to the church of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur in order for a priest to administer the last sacrament of the Roman Catholic religion on the girl. 
 
The video on the incident instantly went viral on YouTube and other social networking sites. Although it has been regarded as a miracle by some Filipinos, this incident also received criticisms and unbelief. Others blamed the hospital for not checking on the kid. However, it is still a question if the family did consult a physician before proceeding to the burial. Others, on the other hand, were just glad that the family does not reside in Manila, jokingly saying that if they had been was, morgues will be rushing to them to conduct embalming on the toddler. The cause of death isn’t clear either. People are still waiting to receive statements from the family and the girl herself.

The Taguig Prosecutor’s Office called fallacious on the second complaint
 on rape and harassment from Deniece Cornejo, a model against Vhong 
Navarro, an actor and a TV host. 
 
The rape complaint is connected
 to the incident last January 17, 2014, the first day Cornejo “invited” 
Vhong by texting him to accompany her in her condominium unit in 
Forbeswood Heights, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

According to a Pep report, the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office resolution on July 1, Tuesday; the complaint was doubtful. They were skeptical of Deniece’ testimony because if she was sexually harassed last January 17; there was absolutely no reason for her to invite Vhong again to go to her condo unit on January 22.

The lawyer gave her statement to Pep.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other news media last night, July 11. “The complaint filed by Deniece Cornejo against Vhong Navarro alleging she was raped on January 17 has been dismissed by the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office in a resolution dated 1 July 2014. ‘The complaint filed by Deniece alleging she was raped by Vhong on January 22 had already been earlier dismissed by the DOJ in April,” she continued, "The dismissal vindicates Vhong, gives lie to the baseless charges against him, and brings him one step closer to reaching the end of his quest for full justice." 
 
Mallonga reads the resolution in part: ‘If indeed complainant was raped January 17 or 18, 2014, why would she still invite (Mr. Navarro) on January 22, 2014 to her condominium?’

FORT DEL PILAR – Former Philippine Military Cadet Aldrin Jeff Cudia is dismissed from the academy due to an offense against the Honor Code on which the academy referred to as the highest gauge of character based on three offenses: lying, cheating, stealing and tolerating those who do it. It was said that Cudia lied about the reason for his tardiness. So despite of his academic excellence, being the salutatorian of his class and being the third on his batch, he won’t be able to graduate.

However, despite that the CHR has found Cudia not guilty of the offenses in the Academy requesting that he should be issued a diploma certifying the cadet has finished Bachelor of Science in the academy; it has been ruled out because of the decision of the Malacañang. After further investigation, PMA submitted their final report to the palace. President Benigno Aquino III, the Commander-in-Chief, affirmed on the PMA and the AFP’s decision against Cudia. It was proclaimed that the PMA Honor Board was the one which considered Cudia’s fate and finally, publicized to let the cadet go. President Aquino gave a speech for Siklabdiwa (Sundalong Ikararangal ng Lahing Bayani sa Diwang Wagas) Class 2014 during the PMA graduation giving emphasis on the honor code of the academy to which should be the basis of every graduating cadet’s way of life and serving the government.

The Land Transportation Office has recently released a new batch of license plates to motor vehicles and motorcycles last May. The agency also announced that all vehicles will carry out these new plates by the year 2016. What makes these plates different, however, is its design and the technology applied to it. These plates which will replace the nine different plate designs that have been used since 1981 have been manufacture by Dutch-Filipino consortium PPI-JKG Philippines, Inc.

These simplified, sleek and modern plates boast laser-etched bar code that contains data about the vehicle’s engine or chassis numbers, model or type. Moreover, there have been modern security changes which includes anodized bolts which, the LTO claims, to be tamper-proof and won’t be detached without damaging the bolts and the plates. The plates will also have a reflective sheeting material that enhance wide-angled visibility and can be seen up to a 100-meter distance. The agency will also release “third-plate” stickers with the vehicles’ plate number for the windshields that leave a mark when torn off. 
 
People will also have to say goodbye to the old design of the plates: the blue/white/green or blue/yellow/green gradient with the picture of Rizal’s monument as a background and the bylines- “Matatag na Republika”, “Pilipinas” or “Perlas ng Silangan”. Instead there will be a color change, with two solid colors as the design on which private vehicles will have black on white, public ones will retain the black on yellow; government-owned motor vehicles and motorcycles will have the same red-on-white plates while diplomatic plates deploy the blue-on-white design. Added unto that, protocol plates will use the green-on-white design previously assigned to private motor vehicles and motorcycles while other exempt vehicles will use black-on-blue hue. These, according to LTO, will help people recognize the vehicle ownership. Also, PUV’s plate will indicate region and PUB’s will indicate whether it is a provincial or a city bus with their third-plate stickers indicate their routes. 
 
Although some drivers went against these decisions, the LTO defended that these new plates will actually help weed out colorum vehicles, reduce traffic and enforce the law more effectively. It will also help avoid the modus operandi: “tanggal plaka”, carjacking and officers will easily discover those vehicles which are stolen and were transported to another place. 
 
The LTO also announced that even though there were changes in the vehicle plates, the current price will hold, with 450 php for four-wheeled vehicles and 120 php for motorcycles.
